It’s another semester, and that means another round of midterms and finals. We know it can feel like you’re a hamster on a wheel, churning out paper after response after problem set. Sadly, we can’t help you write these things. However, we can edit and proofread the papers you send us, polishing them for submission while you’re on to the next task.

Most undergrads typically consider professional editing only for larger projects, such as a term paper or senior thesis. In our experience, the students who do the best are the ones who take the time to get each of their papers edited before submitting them for grading. To that end, Ivy League Proofreaders offers three levels of service for you to choose from. If you’re looking for a quick review and you’re on a budget, our Basic proofreading might be the best for you. But if you need more extensive help with a difficult paper, or if it’s an important assignment where your grade is particularly important, you may want to check out our Advanced editing and Ivy League Touch services.

By signing up with Ivy League Proofreaders, you can get all your papers and other written assignments professionally edited. That means you can stop asking your roommate for favors at three in the morning.

Check out our paper editing FAQs for information on proofreading and honor codes.

Most English as a Second Language (ESL) speakers also fall into other categories, so this section focuses on the additional challenge that our ESL customers face in today’s world of highly-polished communication.

To start, we strongly suggest that you select either our Advanced or Ivy League Touch level editing service if you are concerned about the state of your English. Our Basic level editing service focuses on ensuring that each sentence is grammatically correct, rather than ensuring that the meaning conveyed by each sentence is in line with your message. For example, it is often more helpful to rewrite a sentence or section rather than to simply correct a grammatical mistake, and our editors only perform this type of proofreading with our Advance and Ivy League Touch editing services.

We encourage you to communicate freely with your proofreader. If our editors have questions about your document, they will use the Ivy League Proofreaders email system to reach out to you. Quick responses from you will help them clarify your message and create a more cohesive paper.

We recently introduced a new service that is focused on helping our ESL customers find a cost-effective way to get a high quality edit of their work. The ESL Service Pack is designed to help non-native English speakers become more confident writers. If you select the ESL Service Pack option, your editor will first ensure that your sentences are written in such a way as to ensure that your message is clear. Your editor will also analyze your document from a teaching perspective, looking at your writing style and grammatical tendencies in order to make practical suggestions for how to avoid common mistake patterns in the future. For example, if you consistently misuse the same preposition, your editor will of course correct the error, but will also explain why it’s wrong and what should be used in its place.

  • I chose ILP because your website was the 2nd hit on Google, which got my attention, and your pricing was extremely competitive. Utilizing your service was really a shot in the dark. Fortunately, it was a great decision. I would like to thank whomever did the proofreading on my daughter's decorative and fine arts dissertation. Not only was this proofreader's work thorough but also amazingly fast. Final product has to be printed and hard bound by this
